REDS
I feel like college is one of the hardest times to really take care of myself. I feel like I am doing so much all the time and it is hard to find time to take care of myself like I should be. I would love to eat better but being away from home and just eating what is convient or what I know how to cook, which is not much, is not good for me. I have tried to cut back on things such as eating when I'm bored or drinking pop with the hope that that will improve my body. I also like to get outside and do things, but living in Nebraska/Iowa the weather doesn't always allow that. I hope that my project in Personal Growth will allow me to comit to a goal and feel better about myself. I have learned taking time out for myself during the day helps me focus more on my school work and just wrapping my head around everything that is going on in life. Over all there is always more that could be done but I think too much at a time will hurt me in the long run so I just need to take it one day at a time with the idea of what needs to be done for my well-being.

Personal Growth
Since I will be graduating in May I have felt all sorts of stress. So instead of waiting until the last minute I have been trying to get things done early. Things such as my resume and the search for interships and jobs. With all the things I do I start to think more and more about myself and what kind of person I will be in the real world. It has all started to make me nervous but realized it is coming no matter what. I have just begun to take things one day at a time and enjoy my last year of college. I do more things for myself and have learned to take a deep breath and dive in when things get tough. Each day I learn more about myself, my fears, and what I am looking forward to in the future. For right now I'll take it one day at a time and appreciate everything that I have going for myself right now and hope for the best in the future.

Being someone else
Everyday our lives are influenced by the many things happening in society. We have the choice to change ourselves to be like the many people we see in the media or the people that surround us in our lives or we can choose to be our own person. I know myself that I have changed certain things about myself thinking it might make me happier in some way or another. If we do this though are we truly happy being like someone else or trying to live up to societies standards? Maybe if we just be the person we really are we are a model for someone else. Not necessarily in the sense of someone wanting to be like you but someone knowing that it is okay to be your own person. So yes I do believe that wanting to be someone else is a waste of the person you and the person you are supposed to be.
